Match ReportYesterday the All Ireland Football Final took place in Croke Park in Dublin. The stadium was filled to capacity with over 80,000 spectators . The battle was between Cork and Down. Down had never lost a final in Croke Park so the pressure was on The Rebels!
Cork launched an early attack but missed some good chances to score. Overall Down had a better first half. The score at half time was 5-8 points.
Graham Canty came on early in the second half. Cork’s play improvedwith every minute. The teams were neck and neck at 11 points a piece in the 55th minute.
Cork’s confidence was building steadily. The match was getting more intense. The fans cheered enthusiastically for their teams. The final score 16-15. The Sam Maguire is on it’s way to Cork by the Lee. Well Done cork!
