Mr. O'Connell's Class take a scientific field trip to Pinecroft Wood!

Mr Kirby's class competing at VEX Robotics competition in CIT

Mr Kirby's class recently took part in the VEX Robotics competition in CIT. We were preparing for the competition for the last few months. We had to build a robot and also program the robot to take part in a game. There were 33 other schools from around Cork taking part! As well as building our robot we had to prepare a science project with the help of Ms O'Donovan. Lots of art was also done to help spruce up our stand. The judges were very impressed with our entry and we had a great time taking part and competing against all of the other schools. We have already started thinking of ideas for next years robot!!

Raising money for the Guide Dogs in Mr Kirby's class

Well done to Rachel and Sarah who recently fundraised for the Guide Dogs in Mr Kirby's class. With 1c and 2c coins going out of circulation, the girls encouraged the class to bring in any coppers that they may have lying around at home. The class made a great effort and raised €90! The girls went and presented their cheque to the Guide Dogs recently. Well done for all the work you put in!

An Nollaig An Nollaig a bhí ann. Bhí mé sa bhaile le mo mhamaí.  Chonic mé maisiucháin i ngach áit. 
Bhí sé nimhneach fuar. Bhí an tír go léir faoin aon bhrat bán amhaín. Bhí cuma sneachta ann. 
Bhí dinneár agam le turcaí, liamhás , prátaí agus cairéidí. Bhí ionadh an domhain orm, ach bhí áthas an domhain orm freisin. Bhí mé lán go béal.
Bhí maisiácháin ar chrochadh sa teach agus bhí crann nollag sa chúinne. Fuair mé bronntanais. Bhí sceitimíní orm. Dúirt mé, “Is breá liom an Nollag.”

A chairde,

In the Sciath na Scoil football we will be playing against Inishannon this Friday (27ú MeanFomhair) in Douglas GAA grounds.

The teams will leave Scoil Niocláis at 12.35pm.

 Both games will be played at the same time so everyone should be backing school by 2.00pm.

The bus will drop in our Church car park.

The game for next week is against Kilmurry is currently still scheduled for Thursday October 3^rd. but

Further up-dates will be posted next week on our two remaining games.
